The overall situation in Qatar

The standard of living of the people in Qatar is higher when compared to most other nations. The backup of oil wealth to the economy of Qatar is one of the major reasons for this.

If you are planning to establish a business, then Qatar offers you wide opportunities to build your business empire in the country.

However, one thing also must be taken into account. That is the pandemic that played its part in the previous months.

Identify your strengths and weaknesses.

To those more eloquent in this area, we suggest to do full SWOT analysis.
To all the others, just see what your business does the best. That is, what areas are good enough and what areas not as much. And see what needs to be done to improve.

Example: You have a nice amount of clients that come to you but have difficulties holding that clients in the long run, they always go someplace else to some other company and not you. Ask yourself, why is that so, and what can I do to improve on that?

Another example: You simply don’t have enough clients coming to you at all. See what you can do to increase the traffic in that are.

And of course, we can continue to name different examples, but each business is different and every single business needs a different approach and solution.

Tackle the issues here and now

If your company simply doesn’t give solutions in some area or have difficulties delivering solutions, then simply see where the big fuss is.

If it is a trivial problem with manpower, simply fire the ones that don’t know how to operate and hire the right man for the job. If it is a time issue, time management or communication issue, then find effective solutions to communicate better with your employees or customers via different apps, mails, social media.

Example: If your company has a culture of having long meetings that take one, two or more hours to finish, then make necessary preparations and limit the meeting to 30 minutes to 45 minutes at the maximum. Send the meeting agenda to all employees and have them prepared for every meeting so that no time is wasted on unnecessary explanations and elaborations. Agenda will give them insight into what will be the topic of the meeting and the limitation of 30 or 45 minutes will simply stop you from going off topic or wasting time to unproductive discussions.

One way or another, have in mind that every problem has its solution and everything takes time.

Measure everything

Sales, marketing, operations, customer service, delivery, product wastage, missing inventory … Everything can be measured.

Of course, not everything must be measured but make sure to identify your key performance indicators and always keep an eye on them. See what changes in your business are good and what are not as good. And what will give you success in the end.

Example: If you need more visits on your website, that can easily be arranged by some extra marketing and promoting. You can pay advertising to your local newspaper, radio station, tv station etc. And then follow what happens. You can also make ads on social media and measure that as well. After that, make comparisons and see what works best for you.

Repeat everything

So, this entire process repeats itself. In the first phase, you identify what is the issue in the overall business. After that, you tackle the problems with adequate solutions. Then you measure and observe. And so on.
